This device costs around $40 from net retailers. It can be loaded over USB. It has serious horsepower and a small appetite. Getting the linker to understand it's memory map is not trivial, however.
We have been experimenting with the SAM7 header board. We like this board, but it seems a bit touchy with the IAR compiler. We also take a look at using JTAG debugging with such units.
